The second case of assaulting a police suspect who wanted to abscond occurred this month, Hong Hong.
On the evening of the 16th, a 17-year-old female suspect wanted to flee to London, England by plane, and was arrested while crossing the airport. She appeared in Tun Men Court on the 17th on charges of breaching the guarantee conditions.
According to the Hong Kong East Net report, the 17-year-old woman surnamed Sun was suspected of assembling and biting a police officer illegally at Sha Tin Station of the MTR on the evening of September 25 last year. She was later charged with assaulting a police officer but was granted bail.
The court heard her case on March 23 and May 4 this year. The next court appearance was originally scheduled for next Tuesday (21st).
However, on Thursday night, she was found intending to abscond on a British flight to London, England. As the court had already issued an order not to leave the country, the woman was found by port officials when she passed the customs at the airport and was subsequently arrested by the police.
On the 17th, she appeared in Tun Men Court on charges of breaching the guarantee conditions.
On July 1, a 24-year-old man surnamed Huang was suspected of stabbing a police officer with a sharp weapon. He tried to escape to Taiwan by plane that night, but was reported by relatives and friends, and arrested at the airport by the police. This person was later charged with “intentional injury.”
