At 16:39 on May 3, 2020, Xiong Mouhang, a resident of a community in the district of Nanchang City Public Security Bureau Wanli Branch, called the police and said that he found someone had been killed after returning home from work.
After receiving the police, the sub-bureau quickly mobilized the police and rushed to Xiong Mouhang’s home. It was discovered that 5 people had no vital signs at the scene and 1 was injured. The police immediately sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
Xiong Mouhang said that the injured was his son-in-law, Wei Mou, and the deceased were his wife Yu Mouhua, daughter Xiong Mouping (wife of injured Wei Mou) and 3 grandsons.
After a preliminary investigation by the provincial and municipal public security organs, the case was committed by the injured person Wei Mou.
Due to long-term depression and pessimistic family life, Wei Mou committed suicide after killing his mother-in-law, wife, and 3 children.
At present, Wei Mou was no longer in danger of life and confessed to the crimes he had committed.
The case is under further investigation.
