On June 17, in the Chengdu Ganxin Court, four typical drug crime cases were pronounced and condemned. The four defendants, such as Zou Mou, were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from four years and three months to 15 years, with corresponding fines and confiscation of property.
Among them, in a drug trafficking case that took place in Guangdu Metro, Chengdu Gaoxin Zone last year, although the defendant had only a few hundred yuan in drug money, he eventually faced a term of imprisonment of four years and three months and a fine of 7,000 yuan.
At 19:00 on the evening of November 21, 2019, the defendant Liu Mou sold 200 yuan of drugs to the drug addict Pu Mou. After the completion of the transaction, Liu Mou was blocked by the police on the spot. The police seized 12 bags of methamphetamine (meth), which were packed in white transparent sealed bags, with a net weight of 4.47 grams, and a drug cost of RMB 200. The net weight of one bag packed in white transparent sealed bags sold by Liu was seized from Pu Mou, 0.3 grams of methamphetamine (meth).
It was also found that on November 5, 11, and 14, Liu had also sold drugs of 150 yuan, 200 yuan, and 200 yuan to Pu, respectively.
The court held that the behavior of defendant Liu constituted trafficking drug crime. Considering that Liu was a recidivist, combined with the circumstances and frequency of Liu’s drug trafficking, the defendant was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and fined RMB 7,000.
According to statistics, from 2019 to June 2020, the number of new drug crime cases received by the Gaoxin courts decreased by 50.9% year-on-year. A total of 54 cases were received and 50 cases were concluded. The main crimes were trafficking, transportation, drug manufacturing, accommodating others, and illegal possession of drugs.
Among them, 33 crimes of trafficking, transportation, and manufacture of drugs were concluded, and a total of 41 defendants were sentenced. The Gaoxin Court will continue to base on the trial function, severely crackdown on drug crimes in accordance with the law, and resolutely deter drug criminals.
At the same time, the Gaoxin Court will combine “Seven Laws” and other activities to carry out in-depth anti-drug and legal propaganda activities through multiple channels and various forms, forming a strong social atmosphere in which everyone stays away from drugs and everyone participates in drug control.

Young people must deeply understand the dangers of drugs and consciously stay away from drugs, resist drugs, and prevent drugs.
