Since April 1st, Shanghai Welfare Lottery sales outlets have been suspended throughout the city.
On April 13th, however, there is a lottery jackpot in Shanghai, which has caused netizens to question the welfare lottery. What is going on?
According to the “Shanghai Welfare Lottery” official account on April 1, the city’s consignment outlets will suspend the sales and redemption of welfare lottery tickets (including computer-based welfare lottery tickets and instant welfare lottery tickets) from April 1, and the recovery time will be announced separately depending on the progress of Shanghai’s Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control work.
On April 13, the China Welfare Lottery released the Seven Lottery lottery announcement, showing that the 2022040 issue of the Seven Lottery had a total of 2 first prizes, including one in Shanghai and one in Shandong. The first prize single bet bonus was about 2.566 million yuan.
Later, some media quoted Welfare Lottery customer service as saying that the winner in Shanghai was betting through text messages.
Zhongxin Finance contacted the customer service of the official website of the Welfare Lottery and got a response, “The policies for betting by telephone and SMS are not consistent in various places. At present, only two places can bet by phone or SMS, Liaoning Province and Shanghai.”
