On February 5th, a new confirmed case of COVID-19 was first found in a pregnant woman in Shaanxi Province.
The patient was 8 months pregnant, 33 years old and born in Danfeng, Shangluo city, Shaanxi.
On the day before, the patient’s father and mother-in-laws Wang and Zhang had been diagnosed.
The Shaanxi Procuratorate reported that Wang and Zhang concealed their journey to Hubei. On January 21, Wang and Zhang went to Hubei to discuss work and stay overnight, then returned to Danfeng on January 22.
During the inquiry and consultation, both of them have not acknowledged the history of living in Hubei, causing their families and 12 medical staff to become close contacts.
Currently, the police are investigating the two for suspected crimes against public safety.
