On June 4, a 12-year-old girl in a barbershop in Huangmei County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province was molested twice by a strange man when she was alone in the shop.
The man also said to the girl, “Give you 100 yuan to follow me.”
Sister Xiaohua told the reporter, after the incident, Xiaohua was very scared, and now she dared not go out or dare to stay alone in the store.
On July 2, the reporter learned from the Huanggang Huangmei Police Station that the police are currently investigating the case further, and the suspect has not yet been caught.
Xiaohua’s sister told the reporter that her mother operated a barbershop in Huangmei County. On the morning of June 4, her mother went to pay property fees nearby, leaving her sister Xiaohua to stay in the shop alone. Twelve-year-old Xiaohua had occasionally watched the store alone. She lay on the sofa in the store and watched online classes.
Surveillance video showed that at 9:48, a man wearing a hard hat walked into the store and sat directly next to Xiaohua. The man asked if the adult in Xiaohua’s family was at home, and Xiaohua replied: “The person is not there.” Hearing that there was no adult in the shop, the man began to molest Xiaohua. The video showed that Xiaohua shouted repeatedly: “People are not there”, but the man did not stop, and then left the shop under the resistance of Xiaohua.
About a minute later, the man returned to the shop and stood next to Xiaohua and said, “Give you 100 yuan. Follow me.” After Xiaohua refused twice, the man pulled Xiaohua’s feet and tried to drag her. The man left after Xiaohua broke free.
Xiaohua’s sister said that her mother left for about 20 minutes, and then back to the store to listen to her daughter and told the police.
From the surveillance and surrounding witnesses, they learned that the man was riding a red electric tricycle with nylon bags. Afterward, the family members also took monitoring photos to the surrounding construction sites and farmer markets for inquiries, but everyone said they did not know the person.
After the incident, Xiaohua was very scared to go out and stayed at home. Xiaohua’s sister said that she had seen the store alone before, but now she dared not stay in the store alone. Now her mother will pull down the rolling gate at the entrance of the store when she goes out. She will not let her visit the store by herself.
On July 2, a reporter learned from the Huangmei Police Station that the case is currently under further investigation, and the suspect has not yet been caught.
