There is a pear in Dangshan, Anhui Province. It is firmly seated on the throne of the first of the three traditional Chinese famous pears, “looking down on all the pears”.

It is also said that its flesh is as white as jade, crisp and refreshing, full of juice, and as sweet as honey, which often gives people endless aftertaste.

Dangshan crisp pear is a white pear strain, which is a natural hybrid of white pear and sand pear.

It is a specialty of Dangshan County, Anhui Province, and matures in the first and middle of September. The fruit is nearly cylindrical, the peel is green and yellow, and gradually turns yellow after storage. The fruit spots are small and dense, scattered on the peel. The core is small, the flesh is white, and the taste is crisp and refreshing. It can be broken when you have a snap finger. It is crisp when you enter the mouth, and there is no residue when you fall to the ground.

Therefore, since ancient times, there has been a saying describing Dangshan crisp pears: “Dangshan pears are thin and can’t be found on the ground”.

Dangshan crisp pear usually weighs 250 grams per fruit, but the big one can weigh up to one kilogram! It is often dry in autumn. If you can chew such a big Dangshan pear, don’t mention how refreshing!

The main varieties of Dangshan crisp pears are Jingaisu, Baipisu, Qingpisu, and Fusu. Among them, Jingaisu has the best quality. The peel of the Jingasu pear is light golden yellow, and there are golden rust spots around the fruit stem, that is, the fruit dots, are radial, beautiful in color, sweet in taste, and good in quality. It is the best strain of crisp pear.

Hearing this, you may think that, alas, no matter how sweet it is, it is just a fruit! Of course not. Dangshan crisp pear also has high nutritional value and medicinal value.

Crispy pears are rich in nutrition and contain a variety of essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. They are good for both raw and cooked food, and are suitable for all ages. No matter you wash it clean, or make it into pear soup, it tastes very good!

The medicinal value is even more amazing. Li Shizhen, a famous medical celebrity in ancient times, recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica that “there are many pears, all of which are top quality, and can cure diseases.” He further pointed out that pears can “moisten the lungs and cool the heart, and relieve sores, poison, and intoxication.”

Therefore, the crisp pear is not only delicious, but also worth lifting your thumb.

Dangshan crisp pears, which were often praised thousands of years ago, are even more “beautiful” today.

In 1985, Dangshan crisp pear was awarded the title of national famous and special fruit at the national high-quality famous and special product appraisal meeting. In 1993, Dangshan crisp pear won the “Dragon Horse Gold Award” at Thailand International Expo.

In 2001, Dangshan County was approved as a provincial Dangshan Pear Germplasm Resources Nature Reserve, and in the same year, it was determined by the Ministry of Agriculture as one of the 100 pollution-free agricultural product (fruit) production demonstration bases in China. In 2002, Dangshan County was recognized as the “national pollution-free agricultural product (fruit) production demonstration base county standard unit”. It is also recognized by experts at home and abroad as “the best ecological area of world first-class crisp pear”.

In order to maintain the excellent biological characteristics of crisp pears and ensure the quality of Dangshan crisp pears, Dangshan County has established a germplasm resource archive of ancient pear trees, which has protected over 60000 Dangshan crisp pear trees that have been more than 100 years in China. The protection work is more comprehensive and careful. The age, tree name, family and genus, responsible management and protection unit, responsible person, contact number, and other contents of each ancient pear tree in the county are registered in detail, and ancient pear trees with special historical, cultural, scientific research value and commemorative significance are also attached with text descriptions.

In addition to protecting the original excellent variety characteristics, the cultivation team of Dangshan County also used the original crisp pear parents to cultivate excellent offspring strains, further enriching the excellent offspring varieties of Dangshan crisp pear to provide optional germplasm resources, adapting to the upgrading trend of market consumption demand. At present, six new varieties have been bred, including “Wanli No. 1”, “Wanli No. 2”, “Wanli No. 4” and “Dangshan Xisu”.

What’s more, in order to improve the standardized production level of Dangshan crisp pear, a geographical indication product, Dangshan County implemented the “digital orchard” innovation project in the area. The all-weather control and intelligent and digital management of pear orchards enable traceability of production records, product flow direction, and storage and transportation information. At present, 52 digital orchard application demonstration parks have been built in the county, and more than 30 Dangshan crisp pear geographical indication product standard enterprises have been put into operation on the national and provincial agricultural product quality and safety traceability platform.

In addition, Dangshan County has also built a “No.1 Pear Garden” integrating “intelligent management, standardized production, brand sales, and agricultural tourism”. Up to now, the county has built 15 national and 6 provincial Dangshan pear demonstration bases for large-scale planting, standardized production, commercialized processing, brand marketing, and industrialized operation.

Recently, Mr. Liu, a citizen of Lu’an City, Anhui Province, said that the water level of Chengxi Lake had dropped sharply, this attracted tens of thousands of people to catch fish, and fish surrounded people sitting in the water. The scene was spectacular.

On September 26, Mr. Liu said that due to the weather and the opening of the gates, the water level of Chengxi Lake dropped significantly, and fishing has been going on for nearly half a month now.

“Chengxi Lake is an artificial lake. This is the first time it has dried up since its construction. It is a once-in-a-century fishing opportunity.” About a week ago, he made a special trip to fish from a distance of several hundred kilometers.

According to Mr. Liu, the best fishing spots are distributed in sections due to the opening of the gates. In the first few days of catching fish, the harvest was not great because there was a lot of water, although there were many people catching fish. The first two days coincided with the weekend, there was little water in the lake, and when people sat in the water without moving, there were fish around. Many people came to fish from other places. Mr. Liu estimated that the flow of people could reach 100,000. “At that time, there was a big traffic jam, and the traffic police came to the scene to direct the traffic.”

Mr. Liu said that when he and his friends came on the first day, they went to the lake to fish in person, and later bought fish directly for friends in their hometown.

“There are too many people fishing at the scene, and the car can’t drive to the lake. And the fish is too cheap, only a few cents per kilogram. Most people don’t sell fish by the kilogram, and a sack of about 50 kilograms was sold for fifty or sixty yuan. Many people can’t even take the fish with them after they catch them, they can only leave the fish where they are.

At present, due to the continuous decline of the water level of Chengxi Lake, the fish caught are mainly dead fish, and the fishing has entered the final stage.

On August 5th, the news that the map could show every street in Taiwan Province spread, and many netizens went to find out. When they found Chinese food and snack bars such as “Liuzhou Luosifen” and “Shanxi Knife Noodles”, everyone felt very friendly.

A Mengxia shop on Guangzhou Road in Taipei City is very popular locally, and there are often long queues in front of the shop.

On the gourmet app, some diners commented on this store, saying that this Luosifen made him miss the mainland endlessly. He and his roommate often came to Taipei, more than 100 kilometers away from Taichung, just to eat a bowl of Luosifen.

The owner of this store is Wei Qingwen, from Liuzhou, Guangxi, who came to Taiwan in 1999 for marriage. Because I miss my hometown food so much, I opened this noodle shop in Taiwan in 2010.
She said that she was very proud to bring the delicious food from her hometown to Taiwan, and many people from her hometown in Taiwan made a special trip and shed tears for the first time.

The following is the conversation between Jimu News reporter and Wei Qingwen.

  • Make a special trip back to Liuzhou to find a master to learn how to make soup

Jimu News: When did you come to Taiwan?

Wei Qingwen: I came to Taiwan in 1999 because of my marriage.

Jimu News: Did you get used to living there at first?

Wei Qingwen: I was not used to it at first, especially since the food here is too sweet and I am not used to it. I often miss the taste of my hometown, but I can’t find any hometown food such as Luosifen.

Jimu News: How to solve these problems?

Wei Qingwen: I can’t stay for too long. Basically, I return to Liuzhou once in less than two months. The first time I put down my luggage, I went to eat Luosifen.

Jimu News: When did you start the snail powder business?

Wei Qingwen: The preparations started in 2008. At the beginning, it was not sold. I just made my own and shared some for others to eat. Some colleagues from my husband’s unit thought it was delicious and asked me, “Why don’t you sell such delicious food?” In 2010, with everyone’s support, I opened a store, first near my husband’s unit, and later moved to Guangzhou Road due to demolition.

Jimu News: How to ensure that the Luosifen are authentic?

Wei Qingwen: Before opening the store, I went back to Liuzhou a few times to find a master to learn techniques such as soup and ingredients. At present, the rice noodles, peppers, and sour bamboo shoots in the store are all airlifted from Liuzhou.

  • Many hometown people will cry when they come to eat for the first time

Jimu News: Do you need to make some improvements to bring snail noodles to Taiwan?

Wei Qingwen: Because Taiwan’s diet is relatively light, I have been improving snail noodles since the beginning. For example, the local soup pot in Liuzhou is very spicy, with a layer of red oil floating. The soup pot here is not spicy, not so greasy, not so salty, and not so “smelly”. They will also combine the tastes of the locals with the tastes of Liuzhou. For example, they like to eat beef, braised large intestines, etc., and they will prepare these braised vegetables and add them to the noodles.

Jimu News: Many people say that the “stink” of snail powder is the soul.

Wei Qingwen: Yes. At first, the customers in Taiwan couldn’t accept the “stinky”, so they improved it. Now I find that young people here can accept it and like it more. A new store will be opened soon in September, and at that time I plan to add a little smell unique to the snail powder.

Jimu News: How is the business in your store?

Wei Qingwen: It sold well. We usually open at 11 am and close at 9 pm. Except when the pandemic was at its worst, diners in the general store began to line up at 12:00.

Jimu News: Has anyone made a special trip to eat?

Wei Qingwen: Some people came specially from Taichung, Hualien, and Yunlin. Many hometown people will cry when they come to eat for the first time. There is a family of four who came to Taiwan from Guangxi almost every week. I have been here for more than ten years, and they have been here for more than ten years, at least once a week.

  • A map of Guangxi is posted in the store

Jimu News: How do you feel when you see so many people like your Luosifen?

Wei Qingwen: I have a great sense of accomplishment. I feel that I have helped many people from my hometown and spread the deliciousness of my hometown. In the beginning, I was the only family selling Luosifen in Taiwan. Suddenly being able to taste the taste of their hometown, many villagers were very moved.

Jimu News: I see you posted a map of Guangxi in the store.

Wei Qingwen: I didn’t post a map of Guangxi at first, and many Taiwanese asked me where Guangxi was. I think I should post a map to let Taiwanese people see where Guangxi is and which side of China it is on. After they asked me, I introduced Liuzhou, Nanning, Guilin, etc. to them, so that they could know my hometown better.

Jimu News: How long has it been since you returned to Liuzhou?

Wei Qingwen: Because of the pandemic, it has been a long time since I returned to Liuzhou. I returned to Liuzhou during the Spring Festival of 2020 when the pandemic started to get serious, and I returned to Taiwan after two days. Now I miss my hometown very much. Because I can’t leave for too long in business, as long as I don’t need to be quarantined, I will definitely buy a ticket overnight and go back. I have never been back to my hometown for so long, I used to go back at least once or twice a year.

Jimu News: Are there any mainland tourists who come here to eat noodles?

Wei Qingwen: A lot. Many tourists from the mainland have made a special trip to come here to eat. Before that, some civil servants from their hometowns came to eat noodles, especially during their inspections. Because my Luosifen shop has also been reported in the United States, Australia, and other countries, there are also tourists from these countries who come to me specifically.

Jimu News: Will there be discounts for guests from the mainland?

Wei Qingwen: Yes! I’m glad they’re here, and I’ll treat them to a dessert and a drink. If everyone is familiar, I will invite them to dinner when they come to play. A few years ago, there was the eldest sister from Liujiang, Liuzhou. We both spoke Zhuang words. We felt very cordial and we could chat well. We also invited her to dinner at that time. After chatting a lot, we felt very, very close.

A Chinese folk proverb says: Eat watermelon in summer, you don’t need to take medicine.

And when it comes to the most beautiful sound in summer, there is nothing more than the crisp “click” when breaking the watermelon.

The watermelon in this place is the best in watermelon, but it is low-key, maybe you have never heard of it – that is Dongtai watermelon in Yancheng, Jiangsu. It is also the certification mark of another geographical indication in Jiangsu Province after “Xuyi Lobster”.

Rich “Watermelon Kingdom”

“Dongtai Watermelon” was famous in the domestic market with the “Jiami” brand green food logo in 1999, and in 2002 it was awarded the famous brand product of Jiangsu Province.
Dongtai Watermelon has successively won honorary titles such as “National Geographical Indication Certification Mark” and the country’s first melon crop “China Famous Agricultural Product”. The first three regional public brands of agricultural products in the province; in 2020, a national modern agricultural park with watermelon as the leading industry will be established. Dongtai City has also become the first “Hometown of Watermelons in China”, with the largest greenhouse watermelon production base in the country.
Today, “Dongtai Watermelon” has become a green business card of Yancheng Dongtai.

Dongtai is one of the earliest areas in Chinese history where watermelons were artificially cultivated.
Dongtai watermelon has been planted in the Song Dynasty and has a planting history of more than 800 years.
According to historical records, when the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, Fan Zhongyan, served as a salt warehouse supervisor in Xixi, Dongtai, many farmers had already planted watermelons, and there were watermelon markets in the city.
In addition, during the Southern Song Dynasty, the famous poet Fan Chengda followed in the footsteps of the former sage Fan Zhongyan. He went to the bank of Fangong Embankment and saw the booming melon industry in Dongtai. “The sons and daughters are in charge of their own households. The children and grandchildren have not yet solved the offerings for farming and weaving, and they also learn to grow melons by the mulberry yin.” This poem vividly reflects the real scene and scene of watermelon planting in Dongtai.
According to “Song History”, “Yuan History” “Food and Goods”, “Geography”, “Lianghuai Salt Law” of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and “Dongtai County Chronicle” of the Qing Dynasty, in the entry of “The genus of melon”, watermelon All are ranked first. The farming proverb that “high fields are good for melons, and low fields are good for ducks” is widely circulated among the people.

In the late 1980s, Dongtai watermelon began to be planted in large quantities.
Since 2017, the planting scale of the Dongtai watermelon industry has expanded year by year, with varieties such as Early Spring Hongyu, Te Xiaofeng, Xiaolan, 8424, Quanmei 24K, Yexu, Sumi, and Meidu. 10,000 tons, the total output value exceeds 3 billion yuan, the scale ranks first in Jiangsu and at the forefront of the country, and the planting scale of small fruit-shaped boutique watermelons ranks first in the country.
It has become a veritable “watermelon kingdom”, and the watermelon industry has become a pillar industry for farmers in Dongtai to get rich.

It will really “explode”!

Dongtai watermelon is not only large in output but also unique in quality. Whether it is fruit size, color, internal quality, and taste, it is ahead of other varieties in the market. The products sell well all over the country, and there is a saying that “Dongtai watermelon is the best in the world”.
The appearance is very beautiful, it is spherical, the surface is smooth, the color is bright, and the outer skin is light green and covered with dark green stripes.

Dongtai watermelon has two types: crystal yellow pulp and fresh red melon flesh. Yellow-fleshed watermelon Te Xiaofeng, Xiaolan, and other varieties have a delicate and juicy taste, which is a good product for relieving summer heat and quenching thirst; red-fleshed watermelon in early spring has high sugar content and low fiber. Sweet, juicy and nutritious, it is deeply loved by people.

For a long time, Dongtai watermelon is named “Dongtai Exploding Melon” because of its thin skin, sweetness and high maturity. However, there are not only “exploding melons” here. In recent years, Dongtai has successively cultivated many watermelon varieties. In 2019 alone, Dongtai Noah Company, which has settled in the industrial park, will cultivate more than 80 watermelon varieties and more than 40 melon varieties.

“America 4K”, a resounding name, is the “Iron Man” in watermelon, which was introduced by the Japanese original species and appeared on Hunan Satellite TV’s “Everyday Upward”, known as “more popular than Lin Chiling, sweeter than Yang Yuying”.

It has a long shelf life and a high sugar content in the center, making it the “supreme treasure” among watermelons.
The characteristic is that the skin is thin, but it is very strong, with great toughness, and it is not easy to crack the fruit. An adult weighing about 150 pounds can stand on the mature fruit! There is also the “8424” variety, which sounds like a secret code name, and is a favorite of Nanjing people.

“8424” was first cultivated by Wu Mingzhu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a breeding expert from the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1984, scientists selected the 24th best combination among dozens of experimental combinations, hence the name.

In recent years, Dongtai Watermelon has successively created pollution-free watermelon, green watermelon, and organic watermelon, and now it has been upgraded to watermelon of origin. Its products have obtained the provincial pollution-free certification and the national green food quality mark after verification, meeting the requirements of high-quality food safety. The brand has become louder and more famous, which is another gratifying achievement of Dongtai City’s efforts to implement the branding strategy of agricultural products.

Speaking of the place of origin, the “Dongtai Watermelon” with Sancang Town as its place of origin is the most famous.
Guanju Village in the town is a “watermelon village”, which is one of the production areas with the most extensive planting area and the largest number of large planters in the city. The annual planting area of watermelon reaches 65,000 mu.
Melon farmers account for more than 95% of the total number of farm households. They plant more than 3,200 mu of watermelons in the village all year round, accounting for more than 90% of the arable land. They go out to other places to contract more than 10,000 mu of melons, with an average household income of more than 100,000 yuan.

The water and soil here raise watermelon

The reason why Dongtai watermelon is famous all over the world is due to the unique soil, climatic conditions, and superior ecological environment of Dongtai.
Dongtai City has a unique reason for becoming a land. It is formed by alluvial sediments discharged into the sea by the Yangtze River and Huaihe River under the action of tidal floods. The unique sandy loam has good air permeability and strong drainage; the unique “night tide” keeps the soil stable; Soil-forming parent material is mainly potassium-rich illite, the soil is alkaline, and the potassium content is high.
Watermelon is a drought-loving crop, especially suitable for growing on sandy loam soil in this area.
Dongtai City is located in the subtropical warm temperate transition zone, with a monsoon climate, a large temperature difference between day and night during the fruit expansion period, and sufficient sunlight.

Loose soil structure, suitable temperature, light resources, and abundant rainwater are suitable for Dongtai watermelon planting, which is extremely beneficial to the growth and sugar accumulation of Dongtai watermelon, forming a unique taste and flavor.

The integrated development of watermelon industry and “Internet +”

The brand of “Dongtai Watermelon” has improved its market popularity and formed a relatively perfect production and sales connection mechanism, the market radius continues to expand.
In terms of sales methods, in the past, it was mainly organized to go to big cities to promote and sell. Later, the market leaders in big cities were invited to inspect and sign a sales agreement with them. Now it has been transformed into a big market and takes orders to Dongtai to ask for goods.

The key factor in this is that there is a watermelon agent team of 2,000 to 3,000 people active in Dongtai. They go directly to the melon shed to buy, and the melon farmers can sell the watermelons for a good price without going out.
In order to promote sales, Dongtai City has also established a Watermelon Production and Marketing Association. The members are composed of melon farmers and brokers of more than 30 acres, connecting more than 10,000 melon farmers in the city, and establishing the “China Watermelon Network”, which provides a platform for melon farmers to enter the market.

With the encouragement and support of the government, a cross-regional watermelon special planting base has been built in Guangxi in the south and Heilongjiang in the north, realizing annual production and year-round supply.
Dongtai watermelon has been planted in subtropical countries along the “Belt and Road”, watermelon production bases have been established in Myanmar, Laos, and other countries, and a watermelon boutique planting area has been established in Japan.

The technical support of good watermelon

Dongtai watermelons are delicious, and the people who eat melons will buy them. The key is to do enough homework for “good seeds and good hair”. There is a set of standardized manufacturing processes and technical standards behind it, among which there are many “firsts” by Dongtai watermelon farmers and technicians.

The rush to the market is the secret of Dongtai watermelon’s sudden emergence.
The end of April and the beginning of May are traditionally the cut-off periods for northern pumpkin fruit. Whether or not to grab this stall is the key to a breakthrough in seed germination technology. In the early days of winter breeding, there was no constant temperature germination technology. The melon farmers used their brains and tried their best. Some people put the seeds into cloth bags, wrapped them around their bodies, and used the body temperature to accelerate germination. Many people spent the Spring Festival with their pockets on their backs; Someone opened a trench on the field ridge to heat the tiles and got up to observe many times. Later, a farmer was inspired by the heating of the electric blanket and introduced the electric heating wire into the farmland. These “fiddling” from the grassroots, after refining and summarizing by technicians, have become the source of today’s “greenhouse + electric heating wire + seedling grafting” factory-based seedling raising technology.

With exclusive varieties and excellent quality, it is the hard core of Dongtai watermelon.
In the smart greenhouse of Dongtai Modern Agricultural Industrial Park located in Sancang Town, about 50 new watermelon products were imported from domestic and foreign scientific research institutions by Dongtai Watermelon Production and Marketing Association, and leading enterprises and agricultural departments are planted here for trial planting. Network technology, real-time monitoring of environmental parameters such as air, soil temperature, humidity, and illuminance, and standardized management of fertilizer, material, and drug use. After scientific comparison and comprehensive analysis of a series of index data such as sugar content, taste, fruit weight, etc., 1-2 suitable varieties are selected from them each year to promote planting and put on the market.
In recent years, new varieties such as 8424, Quanmei 4K, Xiaolan, Wang Zhai, Yeshu, and Kirin, which have been selected and produced here, have stunned the market, and their word of mouth has exploded.
While conquering the taste buds of consumers, these melon products have also successfully boosted the value of Dongtai watermelon again and again. A Quanmei 4K is “the emperor’s daughter is not worried about marrying” in Hong Kong. One watermelon can be sold for 150 Hong Kong dollars, a Yeshu watermelon is priced at 78 yuan online, and it is not an exaggeration to say that Dongtai watermelon is sold at an “astronomical price”.

In terms of watermelon seedlings, Dongtai City has also achieved industrialization.
The whole process of monitoring and intelligent management is implemented in the nursery stage, and disinfection measures are strictly taken in every link from sowing to shedding to prevent the introduction of germs.
It is understood that the production of melon seedlings in Sancang Modern Agricultural Ecological Garden Seedling Base has reached more than 10 million plants, which can guarantee the planting of tens of thousands of acres of watermelons. The unit price of each plant is about 1-1.5 yuan, which is equivalent to the price of an outdoor watermelon in August and September. There are more than 10 such seedling bases in Dongtai.

Excluding the planting link, the biggest obstacle to the standardized development of the watermelon industry is the difficulty of quality inspection.
For thousands of years, people have been accustomed to crowding in front of watermelon stalls to judge the rawness and quality of watermelons through visual inspection by hand or by opening the melon bags. There is no set of scientific testing standards.
Dongtai Jinjin Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. is the first “crab eater”. In 2018, it introduced the first watermelon automatic sorting line from abroad. The biggest highlight of this equipment is the implementation of non-destructive sugar testing. The first step of the operation starts with sugar measurement. Watermelons that do not meet the standard and are unqualified will automatically flow to the defective product area. Next, there will be a link for checking weighing and fruit shape imaging, according to different quality standards to demarcate different prices, and then put them into the A-level and B-level markets for grading sales.

The Best Watermelon Kingdom

After more than two years of exploration and polishing, this set of equipment has been successfully put into operation, including the first watermelon non-destructive sugar testing equipment and supporting cold storage. It adopts process checking and optical imaging of fruit shape, and each melon generates a unique ID code, from seedling to picking, the whole process can be traced, which greatly improves the scientific and technological content and work efficiency of watermelon detection.
According to the QR code information on the packaging box, consumers can buy good products at good prices, they can consume clearly, and they no longer have to blindly pick and gamble on melon stalls.

Putting into use the first watermelon automatic sorting line in China has pushed forward the standardized production of the watermelon industry and greatly shortened the time for fresh watermelon delivery.

It is said that the grapes in Turpan are good. According to preliminary statistics, more than 500 varieties can be called the “World Grape Botanical Garden”.

Hundreds of varieties, thousands of sweets

Among all the varieties of grapes in Turpan, people divide grapes into three categories: fresh eating, winemaking, and drying according to the thickness of the peel, the aroma of the pulp, the sweetness of the taste, the vitamin content and the nutritional content.

Seedless white, horse milk, Turpan red grape, lady red, flame seedless, and other grapes with thin skins and sweet and delicious gravy are primarily used for fresh food.
And those varieties with thick skin and sour taste, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Dragon Ball, Merlot, Chardonnay, Semillon, Syrah, etc., will be used for brewing and brewed into rose fragrances and other wine species.
The peel and pulp are easy to separate, and the seedless white, rose fragrance, excellent seedless, and drunk gold fragrance with solid fruit flavor will be made into raisins by grape farmers.

In addition to eating fresh, brewing, and drying, grapes have medicinal properties. The medicinal variety is called Haloxylon grape, which can be used for tea and wine after drying. It is mainly used to treat diseases such as measles in children. But compared with most varieties, the Haloxylon grape has a small planting area and low yield.

If you want to eat fresh, seed-free white may be the first choice to consider.
Of all the grape varieties, Seedless White, also known as “White Seedless”, is one of the oldest grape varieties. It has been cultivated in Turpan for nearly 600 years.
The causal body is small, the color is emerald green and crystal clear, plump and round, the pulp is transparent, and the seedless white is also known as the “green pearl”.
In terms of taste, the seedless white skin is thin and tender, and there is no need to spit seeds and skins. More importantly, the seedless white skin has a gratifying sweetness, with a sugar content of up to 20-24%.
In the summer afternoon, wash a bunch of them and eat them one by one, how delicious!

In addition to the seedless white, Xinjiang’s Bolicui(玻璃翠) is also worth eating. Like the seedless white, it belongs to the variety of “no need to spit out the grapes to eat grapes”.
The scientific name of Bolicui is Frey seedless grape, the fruit is purple or bright red.
Because of its small size, crystal clear, full grains, crispy and sweet flesh, and full of juice, it is like a seductive red pearl in the sun, so it is called glass emerald.

If you want to taste the high-quality raisins in Xinjiang, Hongxiangfei grapes will bring you the most intense sweetness.
The red fragrant concubine raisins produced in the Turpan Basin of Xinjiang on the side of the Tianshan Mountains were a tribute to the emperor and fragrant concubine during the Qianlong period.
Hongxiangfei raisins are rare varieties with extremely low yields. The pulp is thick, the color is wine red and transparent, and the tip of the entrance teeth will leave a fragrance similar to roses, sweet and sour, with endless aftertaste.

Delicious brewed by sunshine and wind

Due to the long transportation time and the fact that most of the fresh grapes are not easy to store due to their thin skins, and the time to market for fresh fruits is relatively short, the flavor of Turpan grapes is mostly in the form of dried fruits, that is, raisins, which are tasted by diners from all over the world.

Turpan’s raisins are dried in a special way. In Turpan, the local grape farmers will use the four-sided ventilated lattice building built of earth blocks – the shade house. This kind of building is a raw soil building for Portuguese farmers to make full use of the light and heat resources of the Turpan Basin to dry raisins.

In Turpan, almost every grape farmer has built such a drying room. There are many wall holes on the four walls of the building, and in the middle is a bracket made of wooden sticks. After grape farmers pick, they will put the mature seedless grapes on the brackets. Under the action of hot air, in summer, fresh grapes will pass for 30-40 days. It can be air-dried into raisins.

Using the hot air of the shade house, the raisins are naturally shaded, and the color of the fruit is still bright green, the flesh is soft, the food is sweet and sour, and the color and taste are excellent. It is a treasure in the domestic dried fruit.

On June 25, 2003, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine approved the implementation of regional product protection for “Turpan raisins”.

Millennium Planting History

Turpan has a long history of grape cultivation. In the third century AD, Turpan had records of grape cultivation. “North History Gaochang Biography” has Turpan records of “more five fruits” and “more grapes”.

Previously, an ancient grape vine was discovered by archaeologists in the Yanghai Ancient Tomb in Shanshan County, Turpan City.

Viticulture does not depend on planting but on the asexual reproduction of vines.

Nurbiya Ablimiti, a lecturer at the Turpan Museum, said: “Archaeological experts tested this precious plant specimen and found that it is a grape with red fruit, round grains, and purple. It has a history of 2,300 years and is the earliest specimen of cultivated grapes found in my country.”

Today, Turpan has become the main production base of grapes in China. The total grape production accounts for 52.84% of the whole Xinjiang, which is one fifth of the whole of China.

Behind its reputation, it benefits from the superior geographical planting conditions of Turpan.
The Turpan Basin is called “Fire Island”, surrounded by mountains on all sides, the mountains in the north block the cold air from the south, and the desert the Gobi on the east, south, and west sides of the city make the warm air in the north extremely dry, making it a famous dry and hot place in the country. The basin is also dry and less rainy. The annual sunshine hours are 3200 hours, the annual effective accumulated temperature is above 10 °C, and the effective accumulated temperature is above 5600 °C. The average annual precipitation is 16 mm, and the evaporation is more than 3000 mm, up to 5200-5900 megajoules per square meter.

Thin cloud cover, strong solar radiation, and extremely high temperatures together form abundant light and heat resources. Coupled with the large temperature difference between day and night, it is easy to accumulate sugar in plant fruits.

In addition, the soil in Turpan is irrigated soil, irrigated silt soil, aeolian sandy soil, flavor-aquic soil, and improved brown desert soil that are very favorable for grape growth. The soil has good permeability, low salt content, and is slightly neutral. Finally, the unique geographical location also makes Turpan rich in groundwater reserves.

To sum up, the environmental characteristics provide unique conditions for the production of characteristic grapes.

The sweet life of Portuguese farmers

Since 2016, Turpan City has begun to promote grape variety improvement and frame transformation, vigorously implement the quality and efficiency improvement project of the forestry and fruit industry, and promote scientific planting technology.
In an interview, Ayia Mugulhalik, director of the Forest and Fruit Technology Promotion Center of Gaochang District, Turpan City, introduced the local efforts to improve the standardized planting of grapes: “We must take the road of standardized grape planting, and carry out a variety improvement and self-transformation. We raised the root column to more than 1.7 meters, and the small column to more than 1.9 meters, so as to ensure ventilation, lighting, pruning, and mechanized operations, in order to grow high-quality grapes.”

At present, Turpan City has completed the transformation of nearly 70,000 mu of grape fields. It has greatly improved the yield and quality of grapes and has also been favored by consumers.
In addition, the local area has also built five grape theme parks integrating picking, tasting, and playing through the “grape + tourism” model. The renovated vineyard has also become a tourist check-in place for many tourists.

In addition, Turpan has continuously adjusted and optimized the grape planting structure to promote the quality and efficiency of the grape industry, which not only doubled the sales of local fresh grapes and sold them at a good price but also attracted many wine-making technology enterprises to take root in Turpan.
At present, there are more than 40 wine brewing enterprises in the local area, which can produce more than 200 varieties of wine. The annual output has reached 20,000 tons, and it has begun to occupy a certain share in the country.

In the next step, Turpan will vigorously promote standardized production management technology to ensure the optimized structure of grapes and stable production. With the industrial model of ‘grape + tourism + leisure experience + culture + e-commerce platform’, we will create a composite business format with grapes as the core, integrating vineyard sightseeing, cultural leisure, and eco-tourism, so as to increase farmers’ income and increase industrial efficiency. “

The grape industry also promotes the development of the logistics and e-commerce industries in Turpan. Turpan continues to accelerate the development of the cold chain logistics industry and has formulated and issued a series of “Implementation Plans for Promoting the Coordinated Development of E-commerce and Express Logistics in Turpan” and “Implementation Opinions on Promoting Online and Offline Interaction to Accelerate the Innovation, Development, Transformation, and Upgrading of Commercial Circulation” and so on. Policies and measures to promote the development of commercial and trade logistics. Transform the conditional advantages of the modern logistics industry into development advantages.

At present, Turpan is speeding up the construction of agricultural e-commerce service sites. There are 205 e-commerce enterprises and individual industrial and commercial households in the city. Many e-commerce service points have built exhibition halls that highlight ethnic customs, displaying various Turpan-specific agricultural products such as raisins and tourist route books.

When it comes to Dalian City, Liaoning Province, everyone’s first reaction is “Northern Pearl” and “Romantic City”.
In fact, Dalian is located at 39 degrees north latitude, the golden zone at the junction of winter and summer.
Cherries are “diamonds in fruits”, and there has been a recorded history of planting in Dalian for more than 300 years. After years of careful cultivation, Dalian has become the main advantageous producing area in the country. Dalian big cherry is famous for its large fruit, high quality, and delicious taste.

As the saying goes, “Cherry is delicious and difficult to plant”, especially the high-quality varieties of big cherries. They have strict requirements on climate, water, soil, temperature and humidity, and many other conditions. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to call cherries “the fruit of heaven”.

In the past 40 years, the two most popular, widely planted, and most familiar cherry varieties in China: Red Light and Meizao, all come from Dalian!
In the 1960s, the Dalian Academy of Agricultural Sciences selected and bred large cherry varieties and bred “Red Light” (红灯) through artificial crossbreeding, and then bred a series of large cherry varieties with good quality and different maturity stages, such as the one called “Wuhong” (五红). Hongmi, Hongyan, Zaofeng, Jiahong and Juhong.
At present, red light is still one of the largest cherry varieties in Liaoning, Shandong, and other places.
After the 1990s, Dalian introduced a high-quality cherry variety, Meizao, from the United States, cultivated it, and gradually planted it on a large scale in Jinzhou, Lushun, Zhuanghe, and other places.
Until now, Meizao is still one of the best varieties of big cherries.

In November 2019, it was selected for the China Agricultural Brand Directory.

When the spring breeze blows, Dalian’s big cherries also turn red.

“Fashion Capital” Dalian breeds cherry

Cherries are one of the specialty fruits of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Dalian’s cherries are mainly produced in: Anbo Town in Pulandian City, Siping Town, Lushunkou District, Jinzhou District, and DelisiTown in Wafangdian City.
With its unique geographical location and climatic conditions, Dalian has become one of the best cherry-growing areas in my country and even in the world.

Dalian City is located on the east coast of Eurasia and the southernmost tip of the Liaodong Peninsula in Northeast China. With sufficient light and suitable temperature, the temperature rises slowly in spring, and the large cherry fruit has a long development period.
At the same time, the large temperature difference between day and night is conducive to the accumulation of sugar. The summer rainfall is moderate, which can not only ensure the water demand for growth, but also will not cause excessive rain and cracked fruit.
In addition, the soil is rich in a variety of minerals, resulting in a large fruit body, bright luster, sweet and sour taste of high-quality Dalian cherries.

Dalian has a long history of cherry cultivation. It has been a hundred years since its introduction and cultivation in the last century.
If you ask more about the source of Dalian cherries, the answer is Golden State.
There have been cherries in Jinzhou since ancient times. Almost a hundred years ago, when Kang Youwei came to Jinzhou, he sighed: “A hundred fruits are beautiful outside the city of Jinzhou”.

However, the ancient Jinzhou cherries mainly refer to the red cherries and mountain cherries cultivated in China. They can be seen on the wild road. The small red fruits are crystal clear, but the taste is a little sour.

Today’s big cherries, which are European sweet cherries, were originally tall trees, but now they have been dwarfed or domesticated into small trees.
How did European sweet cherry varieties settle in Jinzhou, southern Liaoning? There’s really something to test about.

In 1906, the Japanese published a very short message in the 16th issue of the magazine “Manchurian Fruit Tree” sponsored by Dalian: A Japanese named Yutaro Aisheng introduced the large cherry of the “Naweng” variety from Japan, and it was successfully planted in Balizhuang, Jinzhou. This is the earliest record of the introduction of large European cherry varieties in the Golden State.
Jinzhou New District is the hometown of China’s big cherries, known as “the first spring fruit in the ancient city, and the best cherries in Jinzhou in the world”.

Jinzhou has become one of the main producing areas of “Dalian Big Cherry” national agricultural product geographical indication products, and “Jinzhou Big Cherry” has also become a Chinese geographical indication certification mark.

On February 26, 2020, the Dalian Big Cherry Advantage Area for Chinese Characteristic Agricultural Products in Dalian City, Liaoning Province was also identified as the third batch of advantageous areas for Chinese characteristic agricultural products.

High-quality development of the cherry industry, fruit farmers are rich

Dalian big cherries can now appear on the dining table during the Spring Festival every year, which can last until mid-July.
Especially since Dalian’s open-air cherries were launched in early June, many cherry wholesale markets in Dalian have been very lively – 24 hours a day, more than 1,000 villagers are here to sort and pack, and more than 450 dealers are stationed to collect the fruit. Every day, there are four Five hundred tons of cherries were sent to all parts of the country.
Five such regional cherry trading centers have been built in Dalian.

After a century of development, Dalian’s big cherry industry has entered a new stage of high-speed and high-quality development.
Excellent geographical advantages, complete industrial development advantages, high-quality management and control advantages, convenient sales advantages, and long-term cultural advantages have gradually transformed into a good reputation in the market. Dalian’s cherries and seafood have become the city’s business card.

Cherries are the “golden industry” for Dalian farmers to increase their income and become rich.
Dalian City fully supports the growth of the big cherry industry and has been “improving quality and efficiency”.
Every year, support at the same level is given to new planting, infrastructure construction, brand cultivation, wholesale market construction in origin, green development, production facilities, new variety introduction and research and development, warehousing, and logistics.

More than 30 support policies have been introduced successively to promote the agglomeration of resources such as funds, projects, technologies, and talents to characteristic agriculture such as cherries, forming a relatively complete industrial chain of seedling breeding, production, processing, warehousing sales, and leisure.
The enthusiasm of farmers to develop big cherries also continued to heat up.

In the past four or five years, the planting area of cherries in Dalian has increased by more than 10,000 mu each year.
This year, the planting area of cherries in Dalian has reached more than 360,000 mu, and the output is expected to reach 265,000 tons, an increase of 2% over the same period last year.

Planting technology is constantly being upgraded

Dalian big cherries are mainly composed of greenhouses, cold sheds, and open fields. Compared with open field cherries, the per-mu benefit of facility cherries is about 10 times higher.
Dalian City seized this opportunity to actively guide farmers to develop facility cherries. At present, the area of facility cherries in Dalian has reached 88,000 mu at the same time.
At the same time, through the demonstration of early-to-market technology application, the innovative use of air-conditioning and refrigeration in the shed promotes the early dormancy of the tree, thereby advancing the market time of cherries. At present, Dalian cherries can be listed in early February and can be extended until May.

Dalian is not only at the leading domestic level in the cultivation of cherries in greenhouses, but also at the advanced level in the cultivation of large cherries in the open field, such as drip irrigation technology, canopy, cherry pollination management, and the use of chitin in the fruit expansion stage of cherries.
This is why Dalian people are able to grow large cherries of high quality.
Open field cherries start in early June and end in mid-July.
As a result, Dalian has become the region with the earliest and longest market cycle for cherries in the country, bringing significant economic benefits to fruit farmers.

Yangshan Peach was once praised by the “Wall Street Journal” as “the most delicious peach in the world”, especially its exclusive ability – you can drink fresh and rich peach juice directly by inserting a straw on the peach.

Yangshan peach that can be drunk

Just like the principle of “people are raised by their soil and water”, the growth of peach has high requirements on the environment. Different environments, different planting methods, and different picking standards will produce different flavors.

“Le Taotao, the scenery of Taihu Lake is good; sweet honey, Yangshan peach”. Yangshan peach, produced in Yangshan Town, Wuxi, has the reputation of being “Queen of Fruits”.

In 2003, it has obtained the registration of geographical indication products of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The Best Yangshan Peach that You Can Drink

Yangshan peach is large in shape, beautiful in color, rich in aroma, juicy, and sweet, it melts in the mouth, and has the reputation of “flesh made of water”. The peach pulp contains 8-13% sugar, 0.2-0.9% organic acid, and rich nutrients such as protein and inorganic salts.

According to the time of maturity, the Yangshan peach can be divided into early-ripening peaches in June, mid-ripening peaches in July, and late-ripening peaches in August. Among them, the high-quality early peach varieties are mainly Yuhualu, Jinghong, Chaoyang, and Richuan (雨花露、京红、朝阳、日川); the high-quality mid-ripening peach varieties are Baifeng and Hujingmilu (白凤、湖景蜜露); the high-quality late-ripening peach varieties are mainly Wanhong Lakeview and Qingpi Lakeview(晚红湖景、青皮湖景).

The most worth looking forward to in the Yangshan peach in July is the Baifeng (白凤) and the lake view (湖景). As the backbone of medium-ripening peach, Baifeng is also the most beautiful peach variety in Yangshan peach. The lake view can be said to be the pinnacle of Yangshan peach, and it is also called “the most delicious peach in the world” by the “Wall Street Journal”.

The most outstanding thing is that its peach flesh melts in the mouth, and it can even be sucked directly with a straw when it is ripe. Therefore, it has a reputation as a “straw peach”. The weather is hot, the sweetness of the cauliflower seeds is high, the top is easy to rape, and it is not resistant to transportation. The truly cooked lake view can only be tasted locally in Yangshan, so that you will never forget it.

The best drink from Yangshan

Yangshan Peach is one of the four famous peach-producing areas in China, with a history of seven hundred years and a history of cultivation for nearly a hundred years.

From the bridge couplet of Luxu Bridge built in the third year of Baoqing (1227), it can be seen that as early as the Song Dynasty, peach trees are planted in the front and back of Yangshan folk houses. Planting peach trees is a spring scene where peach blossoms are in full bloom on both sides of the strait. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the “Yulushuimi” was introduced by Tan Mengtao from Fenghua, Zhejiang, and the “Baifeng” and “Chuanshilang” was brought back from Japan by foreign students Yin Zhi were cultivated in the Yangshan area. By the 1930s, the foothills of Yangshan Mountain had filled Taoyuan. At that time, boxed fine peaches appeared, which became precious gifts for relatives and friends. In the mid-1950s, in addition to local supply, peaches in Yangshan dominated the fresh and processed peaches market in Shanghai. Gradually loved by consumers at home and abroad, it sells well in major cities along the Shanghai-Nanjing line and is exported to Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia.

The main reason why Yangshan peaches are so excellent is related to the local unique natural climate and volcanic geological conditions. Yangshan is located in Yangshan Town, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, on the shore of the beautiful Taihu Lake.

Located in the transition zone from north subtropical to central subtropical, the climate is warm and humid, with sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall, and a long frost-free period. Summer is a subtropical climate, hot and rainy. June is the wettest month, which is conducive to the early growth of peach; July and August are sunny and have high temperatures, which is conducive to improving the sugar content of peach.

Its peach central production area is around the four hills of Dayang Mountain, Xiaoyang Mountain, Changyao Mountain, and Lion Mountain. Among them, Dayang Mountain is an ancient volcano formed billions of years ago. The crater still maintains its original appearance. The ancient volcanic ash soil layer is rich in minerals and various trace elements, so the Yangshan peaches planted are rich in nutrients and especially sweet. On February 26, 2020, the Yangshan Peach Advantage Area of Chinese Characteristic Agricultural Products in Huishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province was identified as the third batch of advantageous areas of Chinese characteristic agricultural products.

Peaches are sold well, and the people of Yangshan are sweet

After decades of development, the Yangshan Peach brand has become well-known both at home and abroad. Every year from June to June, it will be sold out. In 2021, the output of peaches in Yangshan Town will reach 18,300 tons, with an output value of nearly 500 million yuan, and the per capita disposable income of farmers will reach 59,000 yuan. It is expected that the overall output of peach in 2022 will increase by about 20% compared with last year, and the sales price will be basically the same as in previous years, which is really gratifying news for the local peach farmers.

The quality of Yangshan peach is widely recognized without strict control from planting to transportation and sales. All levels, industries and all walks of life in Wuxi have taken pragmatic measures, ranging from technical support, financial support, peach farmer training, logistics guarantee, The protection of rights and interests and other aspects will break through the blocking points and help farmers become rich.

A high-quality Yangshan peach first requires a fair complexion in terms of “face value”, and its maintenance secret is “bagging”.

Every year after Xiaoman, the peach farmers start a new round of busy work, first pruning and thinning to select high-quality fruits, and then bagging. The effect of a small layer of “yellow shirt” is not small. It can not only protect the beauty of peach, prevent sunburn, fruit cracking, and insect and bird damage, but also avoid pesticide pollution and improve storability.

A tree generally needs 200 to 300 bags, and the bags used are special paper bags for peaches, which do not contain any pesticide ingredients. The technique of bagging is related to the appearance and physique of the peach. A skilled master can complete 5,000 bagging times a day, greatly improving the quality of the fruit.

In addition to continuous innovation and breakthroughs in the planting process, Yangshan Peach has also continued to make technological attempts in the sorting and packaging process of peach, and intelligent transformation has become a new support point.
This year, Wuxi Taihu Yangshan Peach Technology Co., Ltd. launched a new intelligent peach sorting equipment.

The round and soft rubber fruit tray carefully hold the peaches one by one through the sorting equipment. The equipment automatically classifies the peaches according to their size, weight, roundness, sugar content, and other indicators.
The peaches selected by the machine are uniform and of high quality, which greatly reduces the labor of manual sorting for peach farmers. The digital and intelligent selection of peaches increases the speed by 30%. On average, 183 peaches can be sorted in 1 minute, and the screening volume can reach 3 tons in 1 hour during the peak period.

Affected by the pandemic, peach farmers encountered the problem of “difficulty in selling”, and Wuxi city, district, and town levels actively coordinated resources,
set up Yangshan Peach Transshipment and Distribution Center in Shanghai Fresh Processing Center, Beijing Xinfadi, Guangzhou Jiangnan Fruit Market, Hebei Gaobeidian, etc., relying on the town collective enterprise platform to open a green channel, adopting the method of double closed-loop distribution of cold chain vehicles, and transports the peach “point-to-point” to the distribution centers in various places, and then the local delivery staff directly delivers it to customers, the logistics driver does not leave the cab throughout the process, which not only meets the needs of customers but also reduces contact, ensuring smooth sales of peach.

Yangshan Town draws its connotation from peach culture and actively promotes the deep integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism by relying on festival activities.

Peach farmers process peach wood handicrafts to realize the “fission reaction” from peaches to primary products such as preserved fruit and peach wine, to peach carvings, peach blossom tea, peach blossom mask, and other high-value-added products.

According to South Korea’s “World Daily” report on the 26th, due to the soaring price of Korean cabbage recently, the price of one cabbage reached a maximum of 9,330 won on the 25th, which is about 50 yuan.

The price of kimchi, which is essential on the table of Korean people, has also risen sharply. Meanwhile, South Korea’s imports of Chinese-made kimchi have surged.

According to the price information released by the Korea Agriculture and Fisheries Food Circulation Corporation on the 25th, the price of cabbage on that day reached a maximum of 9,330 won (about 48.5 yuan), and the national average retail price was 7,189 won (about 37.4 yuan).

According to reports, since July, the price of cabbage has skyrocketed. This month’s average price of cabbage was 5,251 won (about 27.3 yuan), 27% higher than in June and 55% higher than last July.

The Agricultural Observation Center of the Korea Rural Economic Research Institute stated that the reason for the recent increase in cabbage prices is that the planting area of cabbage has decreased compared with last year, coupled with the impact of severe weather such as high temperature, resulting in a poor cabbage harvest. It is expected that the price of cabbage will continue to rise in August.

The price of white radish, which is known as the “two main ingredients for making kimchi” along with cabbage, has also risen sharply, according to the World Daily. In July, the average retail price of a white radish was 2,400 won (about 12.5 yuan), which was 16% higher than that in June and 36% higher than that in July last year.

According to the report, since the beginning of this year, the prices of raw materials for making kimchi, such as cabbage, radishes, and seasonings, have all risen sharply, and the price of self-produced Korean kimchi has also risen sharply. The high price of self-produced kimchi has burdened Korean consumers and the restaurant industry, so South Korea has begun to import Chinese-made kimchi in large quantities.

According to statistics on import and export trade conducted by the Korea Customs Service, the import volume of kimchi in May this year was 24,845 tons, an increase of 17.4% year-on-year in May last year, most of which came from China.

“World Daily” reported that the price of raw materials for kimchi produced in South Korea will remain high for the time being, and the import volume of kimchi produced in China is expected to continue to increase.

A Korean housewife told the “World Daily” that she wanted to buy some cabbage at the community market to pickle kimchi at home, but picked 3 pieces of cabbage but was charged 20,000 won (about 104 yuan). She picked up the cabbage and put it down, repeated several times, but in the end, she didn’t buy it and returned empty-handed.

In Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, the first ray of smoke rose from an old milk tea house in the early morning. At five or six o’clock, there is an endless stream of people drinking “morning tea”.

The Most Delicious Mongolian Milk Tea
On May 28, in a milk tea shop in Hohhot, the waiter Sa Zhuola put butter, fried rice and other milk tea “mates” into a hot pot.

“Mongolian milk tea, called ‘Sutaiqie’ in Mongolian, uses green brick tea, which is made from Hubei Laoqing tea (belonging to dark tea), the soup is bright red and yellow, and the tea is mellow.” Manager Hasigowa and the employees started busy at four in the morning. “First brew the green brick tea, boil it in boiling water, raise the tea juice 81 times to fully release the tea aroma, and then clarify the tea juice for use.”

Brick tea is rich in vitamins and trace elements. The brewed Mongolian milk tea not only has the functions of quenching thirst and hunger, warming the stomach, and helping digestion but also supplements nutrition for herdsmen who lack green vegetables.

In Mongolian homes, after morning tea, the hostess will warm the remaining milk tea on a small fire so that the family can drink it at any time.

“Drink when I eat, drink when I’m thirsty, and drink when I’m tired… It can provide me with the energy I need throughout the day.” Balaji Nyima, a herdsman who has lived on the Hulunbuir grassland since he was a child, said that his every day all starts with the milk tea brewed by Eji (Mongolian, mother).

The Most Delicious Mongolian Milk Tea
On May 28, in a milk tea shop in Hohhot, the waiter held the milk tea, so that the fragrance of milk and tea was perfectly blended.

Walking into Hasgaowa’s milk tea shop, you will be greeted with the aroma of milk, tea, and rice.

Each table has a small copper pot, milk skin, milk tofu, milk chewing mouth (the upper layer of milk curdled milk), dried meat, fried rice, butter, butter, fruit sticks (a kind of Mongolian fried pasta), and more than a dozen kinds of milk tea” Companion” for you to choose.

Traditional Mongolian milk tea is not based on cups or bowls, but in terms “pots”. One pot is compatible with Ulan id (Mongolian, meat) and Chagan id (Mongolian, dairy).

Fried rice, is known by many as the “soul” of Mongolian milk tea. It is processed by steaming, frying, grinding, and other processes. It is fragrant and refreshing, and it can satisfy hunger and resist hunger.

Put the butter in a hot pan to dissolve, add the fried rice and stir fry, the creamy fragrance and rice fragrance instantly wake up the cells of the whole body. I saw the waiter Sazhuola skillfully put the tea juice, fresh milk, and salt into the pot in proportion. After they were perfectly blended, they stirred the cream and added the milk skin, milk chews, milk tofu, dried meat, and fruit strips.

Wang Zhi, a Taiwanese tourist who came to the store to taste tea, said with emotion that among all the taste bud experiences in Inner Mongolia, Mongolian milk tea can best make people feel that “life is like the first time”.

As “the mysterious tea on China’s ancient Silk Road”, brick tea originated in the Taihe period of the Tang Dynasty, and there is a record in “Tang History” that “eat cheese, not tea to get sick”. For hundreds of years, tea, milk, and meat have not only become the daily necessities of people in northwest China but also exported to Mongolia, Japan, Russia, Britain, Malaysia, and other places through the ancient Silk Road.

By the 17th century, Chinese brick tea had cultivated a stable and huge consumer group in Russia and many European countries. Following the ancient Silk Road, a 14,000-kilometer-long international ancient commercial road, the “Wanli Tea Road”, which starts from China in the east and ends in Russia via Mongolia, connects Eurasia again.

According to Deng Jiugang, vice chairman of Wanli Tea Ceremony Association (China), Guihua City (the old city of Hohhot), which was at the center of the Qing Dynasty at that time, gathered hundreds of merchants. The most famous company, Dashengkui, had nearly 20,000 camels at their peak. The camel team transported tea and other commodities between the vast grasslands and deserts.

For thousands of years, the Mongolian people have never changed their way of drinking tea with a mixture of brick tea and milk. The pure white and sweet milk “encounters” the green tea, which is used for digestion and greasy relief.

“It would be better to have no meals for three days than to have no tea for one day.” In ancient times, Mongolians who were addicted to tea could exchange a piece of brick tea for a sheep or a cow. “The milk tea culture of the grassland people is to drink the fragrance of tea, milk, and hearty friendship.” Jiao Yongxing, a researcher at the Inner Mongolia National Food Culture Research Institute, said that Mongolian milk tea concentrates the essence of grassland humanistic etiquette from ancient times to the present.

The Most Delicious Mongolian Milk Tea
On July 21, tourists experience making milk tea at a herdsman’s house.

Today, the hospitable Mongolian family still has to offer milk tea first to the guests. It is disrespectful to have no tea or not to brew new tea, and it should be regarded as “full of tea”.

In the evening, after three cups of tea, the herdsmen played their beloved matouqin, and the singing lingered on the grassland.

In this hot summer this year, high-end train tours are quietly emerging in China. From Urumqi to Turpan Ring Road, from Hulunbuir to Harbin, two special tourist trains are entrenched in the western and eastern parts of northern China.

On July 20, Liu Jing (pseudonym), a staff member of Harbin China Travel Service, introduced to the reporter that the most popular Hulun Buir houses are the platinum rooms of 23,999 yuan and the purple gold rooms of 26,999 yuan.

The ticket price of the New Oriental Express, which was operated earlier, was from 28,999 yuan to 51,999 yuan.

A ticket costs 20,000 to 50,000 yuan, with all-inclusive board and lodging

On July 3, the trial operation of the Hulunbuir tourist train was completed, and the first official passenger train was dispatched on the same day, which lasted 5 days and 4 nights. The reporter learned that the Hulunbuir city government provided the train, the Harbin Railway Bureau provided the lines, and Xingjing Tourism had the right to use and operate.

Earlier, on June 9, another light luxury tourist train, the New Oriental Express, was dispatched from Urumqi Station, detouring the southern and northern Xinjiang, opening a 16-day Xinjiang loop.

Different from ordinary trains, the two tourist trains are light-luxury routes, and both belong to “all-inclusive” travel products. The whole car is equipped with a double bed, desk, wardrobe, safe, independent toilet, and shower room, and provides services such as dining chairs, bars, KTV, children’s playground, etc. It also includes attractions, hotels, and catering consumption that passengers can enjoy at the destination.

According to the introduction information of Hulun Buir provided by Harbin China Travel Service, its investment-inviting brands include Shede Wine, Louis XIII, AHAVA skin care products, and Sterford bedding products.

At the same time, the number of tourists that can be carried by the two trains is small. The Hulunbuir has a total of 12 carriages and 22 rooms, with only 44 seats fully loaded. It is equipped with 20 train personnel serving 22 rooms, with a service-to-customer ratio of 1:2.2; there are 13 passenger carriages on the New Oriental Special Train, which can carry 160 people. There is about 50 service staff in total, and each accommodation car is equipped with a butler.

According to public information, the fare for the 5-day, 4-night Hulunbuir trip is divided into 3 grades of 18,999 yuan per person for the golden room, 23,999 yuan per person for the platinum room, and 26,999 yuan per person for the purple room. The price of the New Oriental Express also varies according to the standards of the carriage suite and the ground food, accommodation, travel, shopping and entertainment. The lowest price is 28,999 yuan per person and the highest is 51,999 yuan per person.

The high ticket price has discouraged many consumers. Many netizens said that “it’s too expensive“, “it’s better to travel by car”, and “I’m tempted, but my wallet is empty.”

The more expensive the room, the better

It is worth noting that despite the high ticket price, the occupancy rate of the two tourist trains is still high. Some dealers even said that “the more expensive the house type, the better it will sell.”

On July 20, Liu Jing, a staff member of Harbin China Travel Service, told the Red Star Capital Bureau that the best-selling house type was the middle-tier platinum house, followed by the more expensive Zijin house and the cheapest gold house.

The Most Popular Luxury Train Tours in China

“The difference between the three room types is similar to the three-star, four-star, and five-star hotel.” Liu Jing said, “Our customers are people who are the very pursuit of quality, mainly in their 30s and 40s with certain economic strength. In fact, people who are willing to spend more than 20,000 yuan to buy a ticket will not pay too much attention to the two or three thousand.”

According to Times Finance and Economics, Xu Wenjing, the head of the train operator, once said that the more expensive shops on the Hulunbuir tourist train sell better.

Xu Wenjing said that at present, the occupancy rate of the “Hulunbuir” that opened in early July is 80% or above, and the age distribution of the customer group is 30-55 years old, including young and middle-aged couples with children, and silver-haired people. And many of the tourists are from Zhejiang, including Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Taizhou. There are about 30 groups and more than 60 guests from Zhejiang in July and August.

The same goes for the New Orient Express. The staff of Xinjiang China Travel Service told the reporter that within half a month, the golden diamond carriages for the whole year were fully booked. The main customers are middle-aged and elderly customers in their 40s and 50s. “It takes a long time to play in Xinjiang, and young people may not have that much time.”

New Orient Express
New Orient Express

The cost of the train transformation is as high as 30 million yuan

Why is the price of travel trains so expensive? An important reason is that the cost of vehicle modification remains high.

On July 20, an insider in the industry introduced to the reporter that the New Oriental Express tourist train is a 25GAC380V body, which will be transformed into a factory in 2020. There are a total of 8 carriages with 8 capacity and 10 carriages with 28 capacity. More than 10,000 yuan/section (8 staff), more than 1.6 million yuan/section (28 staff). After marshaling, the New Oriental Express has a total of 13 carriages, and the overall renovation cost is more than 30 million yuan.

In addition, the body of the Hulunbuir is also 25GAC380V, and the transformation cost of each carriage is also more than one million yuan, but the specific figures are not convenient to disclose.

The person familiar with the matter said that this is only the cost of the transformation of the train, excluding operating costs such as employee wages.

Some tourism practitioners said that in addition to the New Oriental Express and Hulunbuir, as China’s railway resources become more and more abundant and in-depth leisure experience tours are popular, in the past two years, many tourism companies have cooperated with railway departments and local tourism bureaus to develop special tourism trains. However, the investment in building such a tourist train is relatively large, and the cost of capital and time is not low. It is not easy to create one or two trains that are truly “out of the circle”.

The popularity of high-end train travel is only a microcosm of the recovery of my country’s tourism industry. Recently, the itinerary card has picked up stars, the circuit breaker policy has been adjusted, and the entry quarantine time has been shortened… The positive signals for the tourism industry are getting stronger.

This summer, Xinjiang’s Duku Highway became a “clogging highway”. The popularity of Yunnan tours and Tibet tours continued to rise. Netizens couldn’t hold back their “wanting to go out and play”. The emerging high-end train tours took up all the time. Geographical advantage.

“Train travel is very popular abroad. Now because of the epidemic, it is more troublesome for everyone to travel abroad. Naturally, they want to play some high-end and different things in China.” Liu Jing said.

Data from multiple online travel platforms shows that since July, with the stabilization of epidemic prevention and control, the number of air ticket bookings in Yunnan, where the temperature is above 20 degrees Celsius all year round, has more than doubled month-on-month. Kunming has become the second most popular destination for air tickets, Yunnan accommodation booking has grown significantly, and the price is even higher.

Compared with the high temperature of more than 35 degrees Celsius in many places, the weather forecast shows that the highest temperature in Kunming in the past week (July 21-July 27) is around 27 degrees Celsius. The sharp temperature contrast has increased the number of tourists visiting Kunming for summer vacations. Qunar big data shows that this year’s summer air ticket bookings in Yunnan have exceeded that of the same period in 2019, and nearly 70% of the passengers chose to go to Kunming to escape the summer.

Qunar data shows that in the past week (July 15-July 21), the number of train ticket bookings to Kunming increased by nearly 20% month-on-month. Among them, Kunming-Dali, Kunming-Xishuangbanna, Kunming-Lijiang in Yunnan Province are popular tourist routes in the province, and Chongqing, Guiyang and Guangzhou are popular cities for railways going to Kunming outside the province.

Regarding air tickets, the bookings of air tickets to Yunnan on the Qunar platform from July to now have nearly doubled compared to the same period in June. Among them, the bookings of air tickets in Lijiang, Xishuangbanna, and Dali have all increased by more than double, and the increase in Lijiang has been as high as 140%. While Yunnan’s air ticket bookings have increased, the price paid for air tickets has been relatively low. Qunar data shows that the price of air tickets to Yunnan in the past week is about 30 yuan cheaper than the previous week.

The increase in tourism popularity has also driven the growth of hotel bookings in cities. On the Qunar platform, since July, hotel bookings in Yunnan have increased by nearly 50% compared with the same period in 2019. More than double, the highest increase of 160%.

At the same time, the prices of hotels in Yunnan are also higher.

Tourist hotel orders show that taking Shangri-La Songzan Linka Hotel as an example, the price of a deluxe double bed room booked from June 28 to June 29 is 1,006 yuan per night.

Recently, some netizens found that Beijing’s high-end shopping mall SKP has listed a variety of expensive lychees.

The most expensive variety, “Zengcheng Hanging Green”, costs 2,098 yuan per kilogram, and the prices of several other varieties are also several hundred yuan per kilogram.

On July 15, 2022, as a supplier of green lychees in SKP shopping malls, Wu Yuhui, general manager of Sanbai (Guangdong) Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. and vice chairman of Guangdong Litchi Industry Alliance, told the reporter that the price of lychees in the mall was clearly marked, consumers can buy voluntarily.

Wu Yuhui regards this controversy as an excellent opportunity to promote high-end lychees. Taking advantage of the popularity, he posted a short video on social platforms, holding a string of “hanging green” in his hand, which could sell for about 2,000 yuan.

The World's Most Expensive Fruit, Lychee
The World’s Most Expensive Fruit, Lychee

Wu Yuhui once worried that the lychees he brought would be less popular after they were delivered to SKP due to the high price.

“We brought all the most precious lychees in Guangdong, Zengcheng hanging green is one of the varieties, including our Bingli, Yuli, Guanyin green, Xianjinfeng, and glutinous rice cakes. On the first day, these products were put on the shelves, they won the first fruit sales in the whole store.” He was a little surprised when he learned this data.

The salesperson in the shopping mall told reporters that although hanging green is expensive, many people are looking for it. Wu Yuhui analyzed that this is because the mall gave Litchi the most conspicuous position, and he also made a “free trial” notice on social platforms in advance. “When we landed, the official announcement made a vibrato, and some people came to see lychees.”

“This green hanging is a lychee of 555,000 yuan that we shot, and it is the top card of our Guangdong lychee.” In the previous video, he deliberately threw out this number to arouse people’s curiosity. According to reports, “Zengcheng Hanging Green” was sold at a price of 555,000 yuan in a charity auction in 2002, setting the Guinness World Record for “the world’s most expensive fruit”.

July 9 is the first day that lychees are on the shelves. People, who come to the booth usually ask Wu Yuhui, “Why there are so many varieties of lychees?” “Why is this variety so expensive?” “Can you try it?” He observed at the scene that many of the customers who came to the scene were “housewives” who came with their children. He encouraged them to try it. “Some customers told me after eating that they were delicious in their mouths.”

Most people just buy a box and bring it to their family to taste. Some people bought five boxes at once. “The five boxes add up to more than 5,000 yuan.” He said, “That should be the boss, and it is used as a gift.”

The reporter came to the fresh food supermarket on the basement level of SKP on July 15. As soon as he entered the door, he could see all kinds of lychees displayed on the long counter on the front right and even a small “Xianjinfeng” lychee tree. The salesperson on the side said that the most expensive “Bingli” is now at about 699 yuan per pound, and “Hanging Green” was sold out in two days.

The World's Most Expensive Fruit, Lychee

Converted down, the “green” sold by SKP shopping malls costs about 60 yuan per piece. But Wu Yuhui said that this price is not the most expensive. In Zengcheng, large lychee over 25 grams can be sold for 100 yuan.

Previously, their “green” was mainly sold in the form of e-commerce. “We can buy our lychees on Douyin, Kuaishou, and Pinduoduo. Normally, some local fruit farmers also sell them online.” The reason why he did not cooperate with offline shopping malls, Wu Yuhui said frankly, “Most supermarkets are reluctant to purchase. They have cooperated with Hema Fresh Food before, but they have not introduced ‘green’.”

The World's Most Expensive Fruit, Lychee
The World’s Most Expensive Fruit, Lychee

On the evening of July 14, the reporter searched on the e-commerce platform with the keyword “Zengcheng hanging green”. The reporter contacted the store and found that the above-mentioned businesses are basically “self-produced and sold”, and they are the second and third generations of “hanging green”. A “green” shop owner told reporters that he specializes in planting green and owns 3 trees, but the output is very low, so he sells 388 yuan per catty, mainly to Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and other places. “Generally, individuals come to buy more, and they are used as gifts.”

The person in charge of purchasing at another high-end boutique supermarket told reporters that it is difficult to sell “green” offline, because of the scarcity of supply, it cannot be supplied for a long time, and it cannot meet the normal distribution of the store. “And it’s expensive, and it’s not suitable for sale in stores.”

This time, “hanging green” in the shopping mall is due to a special opportunity. Wu Yuhui said, “We previously participated in a promotion event held by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in Xinfadi, Hebei. ‘Three hundred grains’ was one of the five participating companies in Guangdong Province. At that time, the head of Beijing SKP procurement tasted us. I brought all kinds of lychees from the past, and after several inspections, I decided to try a new batch of our lychees.”

For this sale, Beijing SKP ordered a total of 1,000 kilograms of lychees, and the first batch of 250 kilograms has been sold out. Wu Yuhui returned to Guangdong to replenish. “But because the weather in Guangdong is too hot, some goods cannot be supplied, and the lychees may ripen too quickly.”

The sales results this time gave him a lot of confidence, “We found that the people in Beijing actually have a great demand for this high-quality agricultural product, and we also told us in the opposite direction that if the agricultural products are grown well, if they have good quality, they will be good. The price has also boosted our entire industry.”

In the opinion of the above-mentioned supermarket purchasing managers, the situation is not so optimistic. “The SKP consumer group is different.” For ordinary consumers, the “green” price is still too expensive.

They once did a pre-sale in June 2022, selling four rare lychee varieties with scarce yields such as “Huanglu”. The market price of 900g “Huanglu” was 999 yuan. The pre-sale price was almost 50%, and it only sold for 449 Yuan, and the remaining three are priced at two or three hundred yuan. However, the effect was not satisfactory, and the total sales of the four kinds of lychees were “less than one million”.

He suddenly realized that his pickup was a truck, and he could take the green pass by pulling fruit, saving tolls. So he bought 12 boxes of mangoes and drove on the road.

A staff member in the uniform of the Yunnan Exchange Pu’er Management Office is inspecting the vehicle and cargo, and the electronic display at the toll station shows a charge of 0 yuan.

On the afternoon of the 19th, the reporter contacted Mr. Xu, who had returned to Tangshan, Hebei. “It took more than three days to travel from Xishuangbanna to Tangshan, and the high-speed travel during this period was free.” Mr. Xu said he and his wife would take a self-driving tour every year. This time, they chose to start from Hebei to Xinjiang via Tibet to Yunnan and return to Hebei. The journey is more than 24,000 kilometers, which lasted 40 days, and costs more than 40,000 yuan for refueling.

“I went to Yunnan and saw that the mangoes are big and sweet. It is difficult to buy this big green mango in the north, so I thought of bringing some special products to my relatives and friends.” Mr. Xu said, he discussed with his wife buying more. The pickup truck he drives is a cargo truck. After consulting with the transportation department, he confirmed that if the cargo capacity meets the national requirements, he could take the Green Pass to save 1,800 yuan in tolls, so he bought 12 boxes of mangoes.

Mr. Xu’s wife introduced that they bought a total of 1,200 yuan of mangoes this time, a total of more than 200 Kilograms, less than 6 yuan per Kilogram.

Mr. Xu said that he originally planned to give some mangoes to relatives and friends when he got home, and eat the rest by himself, but as soon as the media reported, many friends saw it. Before he returned to Hebei, some friends sent messages that they would come to his house to get the mango. “When I got home, more than 200 kilograms of mangoes were not enough.” Mr. Xu said that it took more than three days to travel from Yunnan to Hebei, but the mangoes were well preserved and not bad.

Recently, some netizens questioned that Dior’s mid-length skirt with a price of 29,000 yuan, with overlapping front and back pieces, is similar to the version of a traditional Chinese horse-faced skirt, but its official introduction said, “It adopts the iconic Dior silhouette. ”

Dior and Hanfu
Dior and Hanfu

This immediately sparked discussions among netizens. Some Hanfu fans believed that this was a “proper cultural appropriation”, while others recognized Dior’s reference. “The horse-faced skirt does not have intellectual property rights, nor is it an intangible cultural heritage.”

The horse-faced skirt is a typical skirt style popular for Han women in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it is often matched with the big cardigan worn on the top. It has a fixed structure as a whole – two-piece type, four skirt doors, four skirt doors are overlapped two by two, the sides are pleated, and the smooth surface formed by the overlapping of the middle skirt doors is the “horse surface”. And the controversial Dior dress, you can see the obvious two-piece, pleated design.

At present, Dior has not responded to public opinion. The Chinese official website has removed the dress, but the foreign official website is still selling it at a price of 2,700 pounds.

One of the most famous Hanfu skirt styles

In early 1981, the young Diana was announced as the royal bride and entered the palace with the newly engaged Prince Charles to meet members of the royal family. That night, she was wearing a white silk blouse with lace trim, and a red silk embroidered horse-face skirt on her lower body. The contrasting colors of red and white, mixing Chinese and Western styles, were novel and festive.

This is the highlight of the horse-faced skirt on the modern international stage. In recent years, driven by the popularity of Hanfu, it has also become one of the most familiar skirt styles in Hanfu.

The first Hanfu general book “General Theory of Hanfu” published in October last year wrote that the horse-faced skirt was once the most basic style of women’s skirts in the Ming Dynasty. The way of wearing is changed from “one-piece” to two overlapping pieces at the front and the back, which makes it easier for the wearer to move around. The “glossy” front and back of the skirt is suitable for displaying exquisite craftsmanship.

Many cultural and museum institutions have unique horse-faced skirts in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as the white dark-flowered yarn embroidered bird-pattern skirt from the Shandong Museum, the blue tangle of four seasons flowers and gold makeup damask skirts, and the lush green makeup flower yarn python skirt.

Due to the existence of many Hanfu in the Ming Dynasty, merchants restored many elegant and luxurious skirts. Hanke Silk Road’s Ming-made Hanfu imitation Confucius’s makeup, woven, gold, lace, blue satin skirt and horse-faced skirt, the prototype is from the old collection of Confucius, and the price is close to 3,000 yuan. Another Ming Huatang, which is famous for its Ming system, has also launched a dozen or so styles, such as the lion play ball, the crane, the chili and the hibiscus, and the secretly woven gold gauze skirt. The price is 2,000 to 3,000 yuan. The current construction period has been scheduled until after October.

These historically inherited Hanfu sometimes amazes the stage of national style variety shows, giving people a sense of solemnity. of ordinary people. Since 2019, on Weibo, Douyin, Station B and other platforms, the popularity of Hanfu has been advancing all the way, and many Hanfu culture festivals have appeared in various places. Hanfu has also grown from a niche hobby to a tens of billions market.

Data from iiMedia Research shows that from 2015 to 2020, the sales scale of China’s Hanfu market has increased significantly from 190 million yuan to 6.36 billion yuan.

International interpretation of Chinese style

As early as 1997, the genius designer John Galliano used a lot of Chinese elements in his first spring and summer haute couture show when he took office at Dior. These eye-catching oriental beauties cast aside stereotypes, stylish and interesting.

Dior and Hanfu

Supermodel Kate Moss is wearing a yellow polka-dot modified cheongsam with grey-blue lace elements on the neckline and skirt; Bruni, the former French president’s wife, wears a small stand-up collar and a matching golden bead chain. Small lanterns took to the T stage, showing just the right hollow sexy. The models came out one by one, with willow-leaf eyebrows, blushes transitioned all the way from the eyes, and the retro hairstyles were full of playfulness, style and arbitrariness.

Dior and Hanfu
Dior and Hanfu

In 1997, this haute couture show has been “appointed god” in the hearts of Chinese style lovers. This is also the place where the public is puzzled by Dior’s plagiarism incident: it is obviously not the first time that Chinese style has been touched, why did it “overturn”?

Some people in the fashion circle have analyzed that the reason why Dior called this skirt a “signature silhouette” of the brand should be that its A-shaped silhouette with a narrow top and a wide bottom is in line with the brand’s first “New Look” in the 1950s. After World War II, Mr. Dior took the lead in emphasizing the feminine curves of waist and wide skirts, which formed a strong contrast with the menswear style during the war and became a classic fashion style.

Dior and Hanfu
Dior and Hanfu

In the opinion of fashion blogger Shiyin, Dior’s dress is indeed consistent with the unique structure and version of the horse-faced skirt. For someone who has proposed “who owns the copyright of Hanfu? No copyright can not prove plagiarism”, she believes, Clothing, as a practical item, is difficult to protect by copyright, which is why there are so many “porters” in the fashion industry. Although Dior does not legally constitute plagiarism, the more serious problem is cultural appropriation. “As a big brand with sound volume, Dior belongs to a relatively strong individual, while Hanfu, as a relatively niche culture, is weak.”

According to HSBC analysts’ calculations, Dior’s sales in 2021 will reach 6.28 billion euros, contributing 10% of the parent company’s LVMH group’s total revenue and 13% of group profits. In front of the undisputed top luxury brands, the tens of billions of Chinese clothing industry is aphasia.

In fact, the Chinese style has always been a classic source of inspiration in the world of high fashion. In the 2019 Elie Saab Paris autumn and winter haute couture show, the designer integrated the large sleeves, plackets, embroidery, etc., which are common in traditional Chinese clothing, into the haute couture dress, and local Chinese designers and brands spared no effort to bring Hanfu elements to the top Show. The “Fashion Oscar” Met Gala held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the theme of 2015 is “China: Through the Looking Glass”.

On the evening of July 7, a number of Henan village bank depositors reported to the Tianmu News reporter that their health code had turned red bizarrely and that they had not been to high-risk areas.

On the morning of July 8, some depositors who had disclosed the news told Tianmu News that after contacting the Henan Health and Health Commission to register the information, their health code soon turned green.

“At 8 o’clock last night, I suddenly found that the health code turned red. The itinerary card can prove that I have not been to high-risk areas. It may be because I swept the location code of Zhengzhou East Station on June 10.” Judging from the health code and itinerary code displayed by Mr. Li from Liaocheng, Shandong, the itinerary card shows that he has not left Liaocheng, a low-risk area, but the Shandong health code has turned red, and the Yukang code is still green.

The text message below the health code shows that “Henan Province pushed the abnormal information, and the person was less than 14 days from the high-risk area or the nucleic acid negative result after the 14th day was not detected.”

The Tianmu News reporter called the duty room of the Henan Health and Health Commission. The other party said that this situation was caused by the system switch yesterday. The relevant personnel information is currently being registered, and it will be resolved soon after registration.

However, many depositors were puzzled and shocked by the actions of the relevant departments in Henan. “The health code can be changed so freely, isn’t the relevant regulation not very sound?”

Image from respondents

There are many depositors in Mr. Li’s situation, including Ms. Yin, a depositor who has never scanned the health code in Henan. “I have never scanned the health code in the Henan area, but the health code has been assigned a red code twice, that is, once in June and this time.” Ms. Yin told Tianmu News.

In mid-June, more than 1,000 village bank depositors were also given red codes.

The Zhengzhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision issued a notice on June 22, saying that the five responsible persons of the Zhengzhou New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters Social Management and Control Guidance Department and Zhengzhou Big Data Development Co., Ltd. have weak awareness of the rule of law and rules, and violated the “Henan Province”. Health Code Management Measures for the Prevention and Control of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control and Health Code Assignment and Transcoding Rules, assigning red codes to those who do not meet the code assignment conditions without authorization, seriously undermines the seriousness of the regulations on the management and use of health codes and causes serious adverse social impacts, it’s a typical mess.

According to the report, at that time, a total of 1,317 village and town bank depositors were assigned red codes, of which 446 were assigned red codes for entering the Zhengzhou site code, and 871 people were not in Zhengzhou but scanning the Zhengzhou site code sent by others.

At 20:07 on June 9, Xi’an Fire Protection Jinhua North Road Fire Rescue Station received an alarm saying that a patient in Xijing Hospital was inserted near the eye with a bow and arrow, and requested the fire department to assist in the disposal.

The rescue station dispatched a rescue unit with 7 people in a car, and instructor Yang Qin led the rescue.

The Most Dangerous Bow and Arrow in Community

Arriving at the scene, it was found that a female patient had a bow and arrow inserted under her left eye.

It was understood that a man was playing with a bow and arrow in the community and accidentally injured the injured person who was walking.

Because the hospital needs to perform CT examination on the injured, the bow and arrow are too long to enter the instrument, and the hospital does not have tools to cut it, so fire rescue personnel need to cut the bow and arrow short.

After the fire station signed a letter of commitment between the patient’s family and the hospital, one fire rescuer used pliers to fix the two sides, and another fire rescuer used bolt cutters to cut off the bow and arrow.

After the disposal is completed and it is determined that there is no danger, it will be handed over to the hospital, and the command center will be asked to return.

It is understood that the police are investigating the matterbcurrently.

According to the content of the Internet transmission, at a rural funeral scene, some people set off a large number of fireworks and firecrackers, and some people lined up to lay wreaths. The funeral banquet was filled with expensive tobacco and alcohol such as Feitian Moutai and Zhonghua Tobacco, and a large number of guests were dining.

Some netizen said, “This is a funeral in our village, and 10 million is not enough.”

The reporter interviewed and verified that the funeral was held in a village in Zizhou County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province.

On May 10, a local villager told the reporter that he had heard that a man in a neighboring village had passed away, and his family held a grand funeral for him. He also heard from the condolences that Maotai and Zhonghua cigarettes were drunk at the banquet.

Another local villager also said that this was indeed the case, and many people in the village went to the scene.

“The scene is really well arranged, but the money spent is not as much as the Internet rumors.” On May 10, a villager told the reporter that the funeral was held in their village on May 9, and he went to the scene to express condolences and eat. At the banquet, there is indeed Maotai and Chinese cigarettes on the banquet.

“The old man’s son has his own vegetable market in Xi’an, and he can afford the money,” said the villager.

There were 113 passengers and 9 crew members on the plane. Fortunately, all passengers and crew members were evacuated safely, and the injured passengers were all slightly injured.

However, the plane was badly damaged, and it was horrific to see from the pictures of the scene.

On July 26, 2011, Tibet Airlines, which had been in preparation for more than six years, took off from Lhasa and made its maiden flight to Ali, opening the road to the development of the first high-altitude airline in China.

At the beginning of its establishment, Tibet Airlines was 51% held by Tibet Autonomous Region Investment Co., Ltd., the other 39% was held by Tibet Sanli Investment Co., Ltd., and Tibet Ruiyi Investment Co., Ltd. held 10%.

Tibet Autonomous Region Investment Co., Ltd. belongs to the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Finance, and the major shareholder of Tibet Sanli Investment Co., Ltd. is a real estate company, Sichuan Sanli Real Estate Co., Ltd. Judging from the industrial and commercial registration information, this real estate company is a family business, and Tibet Ruiyi Investment Co., Ltd., a minority shareholder of Tibet Airlines, is also its concerted action.

Later, Air China spent 86.8 million yuan to purchase 31% of the shares of Tibet Autonomous Region Investment Co., Ltd., becoming the second shareholder of Tibet Airlines, and selected a number of outstanding pilots, flight attendants, and engineering technicians to support Tibet Airlines. Layers are also from Air China.

For example, its first chairman Xu Bo and second chairman Cheng Yiru have served as general manager of Air China Tibet Branch and General Manager of Air China Southwest Branch respectively.

In 2020, Wei Boping, who used to work at Qinghai Airport, succeeded Cheng Yiru as the chairman of Tibet Airlines, while Bai Weisan, the general manager, is still from the Air China department and served as the vice president of Shandong Airlines and the general manager of Beijing Air Catering Company.

After Air China took a stake in Tibet Airlines, Tibet Sanli Investment, a private enterprise, became the single largest shareholder of Tibet Airlines due to the dilution of the equity of the Tibet Autonomous Region government. However, the appointment of officials of Tibet Airlines is still up to the autonomous region government.

For example, the cadre meeting held by Tibet Airlines in August 2020 was presided over by the vice chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The deputy director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the autonomous region announced the appointment of the main leaders of Tibet Airlines and nominated Wei Boping as the chairman candidate.

After all, the combined shareholdings of Air China and the Tibet Autonomous Region can still absolutely control Air Tibet. However, Air China’s control over Air Tibet does not seem to be as strong as it is in Shandong Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines.

Although the vice president of marketing of Tibet Airlines is still appointed by Air China, since September 1, 2019, Air China and Tibet Airlines have “separated” in terms of frequent flyer programs.

The Tibetan Airlines plane that suffered the accident was an Airbus A319 aircraft known as the “Little Prince of the Plateau”, which is also the largest in the Tibet Airlines fleet.

At present, Tibet Airlines has a total of 27 Airbus A319 aircraft, 6 Airbus A320 aircraft, and 5 Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft. 60% of the routes it operates are also plateau routes.

Because it is more difficult to fly high-altitude flights, the pilots of Tibet Airlines also have a “reputation” for high salaries in the industry.

Years ago, a captain mentioned in an article about pilot salaries: “In theory, the revenue of Tibetan Airlines is the highest in the civil aviation industry. The problem is that there are many routes on the plateau of Tibet Airlines, and the hourly fee on the plateau (the main part of the pilot’s income, which is paid according to the flight time) is doubled or even tripled. But I don’t envy it. It’s not good. The difficulty of flying has increased exponentially (the consideration of obstacle-surmounting performance on the plateau, the special handling plan, the unpredictable strange wind, the attenuation of the aircraft’s power under low pressure, the entanglement between the high plateau take-off speed, and the excessive wheel speed… …), the rapid change of air pressure in a short period of time every day is very harmful to the body (Once, I had a cold, and my nose was not breathing, but I still insisted on flying, which caused aviation otitis media. I went home for a week to recuperate. Another time, I went flying within seven days of having my wisdom teeth extracted, and my face was swollen due to bleeding from the teeth.) High altitude overnight will cause hypoxia in the human body, sleep well, and the blood oxygen concentration will change when you wake up the next day. The job of a pilot is not easy, and the high-altitude pilots deserve more money.”

According to industry sources, despite the raging COVID-19 pandemic last year, Tibet Airlines still gave all staff a salary increase, and the salary has been relatively stable since the pandemic. In addition to a slight loss last year due to the pandemic, Tibet Airlines has also been profitable in the past few years.

Tibet Airlines’ good benefits are related to its unique route network structure.

Although it is registered in Tibet, the main base of Tibet Airlines is in Chengdu, and Lhasa is the sub-base.

According to the flight manager big data platform, in 2021, among the 20 busiest routes of Tibet Airlines, 10 will involve Lhasa, and 8 will involve Chengdu, of which the Chengdu Shuangliu-Lhasa Gonggar will have the most flights.

In April 2019, Tibet Airlines also opened its first international long-haul route, becoming the first domestic airline to fly directly to Helsinki, Finland, but the departure city is not its own base, but Jinan.

However, the route had been flying for less than a year before it ceased operations after the outbreak.

In 2014, Tibet Airlines also “going overseas” to Nepal and established a new airline: Himalaya Airlines.

At the beginning of its establishment, Himalaya Airlines was established by Tibet Airlines and Nepal Airlines, with Tibet Airlines holding 49% of the shares. At that time, it was also the first Chinese airline company to invest in air transportation in Nepal.

In 2015, Himalaya Airlines made its maiden flight to Colombo, and successively opened several routes to China from Kathmandu to Beijing, Guiyang, Changsha, Shenzhen, and Chongqing, as well as more than ten routes to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

In 2019, by opening the Kathmandu-Beijing Daxing route, Himalaya Airlines became the first foreign airline to enter Beijing Daxing Airport.

At present, Himalaya Airlines has a total of 4 aircraft, including 3 A320 and 1 A319 aircraft. Affected by the pandemic, only some passenger-to-cargo flights are operated on routes to China.

However, in 2021, the A319 aircraft of Himalaya Airlines had gone to Lhasa Airport for a test flight and had obtained the Lhasa Airport operation specification license. It plans to open the Kathmandu-Lhasa route after the pandemic.

According to Tibet Airlines’ “14th Five-Year” development plan, it is expected that by the end of 2025, the company’s fleet will reach 60 aircraft, operate 140 routes, employ more than 7,000 people, and have total assets of more than 26 billion yuan.
